DOWNTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT

MILES & MELISSA
SCOTT & MILES(AS A WOMAN)
X-FEST ON FREMONT EAST
THERE WERE 6 STAGES WITH PERFORMANCES GOING AT THE SAME TIME
YOU CAN SEE THERE ISN'T MUCH OF A CROWD
CUSTOM JACK DANIELS CHOPPER @ BIKEFEST

WE DECIDED TO HEAD DOWNTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT SINCE IT COOLED OFF TO 70' AND X-FEST & BIKEFEST WERE TAKING PLACE AT THE SAME TIME. THERE WERE 1000'S OF PEOPLE ENJOYING THE BIKEFEST ACTIVITIES SINCE IT WAS FREE but AT THE FREMONT STREET EAST DISTRICT WHERE X-FEST WAS HAPPENING IT WAS MOSTLY UNDERAGE KIDS ,CRAPPY MUSIC AND MORE COPS THAN PEOPLE. I'VE BEEN IN VEGAS FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS AND I NEVER KNEW WE HAD SO MANY COPS. THE X-FEST EVENT WAS $30 PER PERSON AND A TOTAL RIP IT WAS VERY WINDY, THE STAGES WERE SO CLOSE TOGETHER YOU COULDN'T HEAR ONE OVER THE OTHER-TECHNO AT ONE-RAP AT ANOTHER & ROCK AT ANOTHER. MELISSA WAS SO DISAPPOINTED SHE PHONED THE RADIO STATION AND VOICED HER DISMAY. IT WAS AN ALL AGES EVENT SO IT WAS MOSTLY KIDS TRYING TO GET THEIR DRINK ON. ANYBODY WITH ANY SENSE JUST WENT TO THE EL CORTEZ AND WALKED INTO THE EVENT FOR FREE, LIKE US. EVEN FOR FREE IT BLEW AND WE ONLY STAYED ABOUT AN HOUR. THEY HAD 2 STAGES OF FREE MUSIC BACK ON THE FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE SO WE WATCHED FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN CALLED IT A NIGHT SINCE IT WAS GETTING SO WINDY. PRETTY DISAPPOINTING CONSIDERING ALL THE HYPE.
